Don't take the same picture everyone takes!
Go around and look for creative spots.
My personal tipp: go towards the Rosengarten, there you will find some large, long and cool looking metal columns.

This is probably not a typical photo spot but as you can see, you can take really good pictures here. This car park is located at N2

beautiful location to shoot modern architecture. Combined with a beautiful girl/boy you can also take nice people photos there like this one

This spot is perfect for some paning shots!

This may not seem like a nice photo spot at first sight but the pictures actually turn out amazing!
The strong contrast between the yellow ground and the bright blue sky really put into it. You can also shoot pretty good portraits here.
This car park is also located at N2.

A very lively pedestrian zone in Mannheim. Here you can go shopping, eat good food and have a nice timeout between your shoots.

To take pictures like this one you have to get out of the city center first. Then I recommend renting an e‑scooter and driving here. It's a very amusing experience especially with friends!
The bridge is located at the Neckar lock in Feudenheim.
